AB+AC Architects is a Lisbon-based practice known for its visionary approach to space and form. Their work thrives on experimentation, blending raw, recycled, and prestigious materials into unexpected harmonies. The challenge was to design a brand identity that could mirror this ethos: grounded yet exploratory, refined yet experimental.
The identity needed to encapsulate the studio’s core values, balance, innovation, and material exploration, while positioning the office on a global stage as an award-winning architectural practice.

We treated the brand as an architectural framework in itself, a system able to hold opposites in balance: raw and polished, grounded and visionary, experimental and timeless.
Our strategy was to build a flexible identity system that could scale with the practice, acting as both a visual signature and a creative laboratory. It had to embody their culture of experimentation while projecting the confidence of an internationally acclaimed office.

The identity fuses experimentation with harmony through a set of carefully layered design choices:
A logotype system rooted in architectural clarity, balancing geometric precision with expressive tension.
A visual language exploring textures and material contrasts, from recycled paper to refined finishes, reflecting the practice’s use of diverse resources.
A palette that bridges natural tones with sharp accents, reinforcing the dialogue between raw elements and crafted detail.
A suite of creative assets developed through material-driven experimentation, ensuring the brand feels both tactile and visionary.
Every element was designed to serve as an extension of AB+AC’s philosophy: architecture as a space where opposites coexist in harmony.
